Ecological Assessment

One of the first steps in evaluating whether your proposal may have an impact on wildlife of value is to complete a Biodiversity Checklist.  This step will highlight whether there is a likelihood of ecological issues on or adjacent to your site. Should ecology be flagged as an issue, the next step is for a qualified ecologist to visit and walkover the site to summarise the features present that may be important. This initial visit can also be alternatively referred to as an Ecological Appraisal, Phase 1 Survey, Biodiversity Survey or Biodiversity Statement.  Once this survey is completed the need for more in-depth surveys, or for no further action, can be advised.

Should you simply require a 'snap-shot' of potential ecological issues on and near your site to inform the development of your plans, we undertake a brief walkover survey at minimal cost.  Alternatively we can tailor surveys to meet your requirements - just ask. Email us at [email protected]
